former vice president al gore
I feel like dancing in the street. Former Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their work to raise awareness about global warming. I imagine there will be dozens of posts like this one today, but I couldn't help adding one here. If you happen to be a member of Digg, let's see if we can set a record!

Good going, Mr. President. (I like to call him President Gore, becuase, after all, he DID win election).
That's a very good point, Rick. And with a little luck, who knows? We might ALL wind up calling him Mr. President. I understand the pundits are saying that he still won't run, but you never know. The idea of seizing this moment must be crossing his mind.
J.K., I’m dancing with you! this is so awesome :)
I'm happy too.
He deserves it.
Get down on it, Kira.. :D
Happy days, Elke!

J.K., your note about Gore crashed my PC!! (better that than another iceshelf!) But it was still wonderful news – a solid step in the right direction for the whole world!!!
Here's a link to his acceptance speech.
And thanks for the note, Andy. I'd like to think it's just the energy of the moment (wouldn't that be cool), but I suspect if anything here it was the mp3 I posted yesterday. That's a pretty hefty download. If you plan on testing, you might want to start with that. - Hope that helps!
Cool…
Yes. Congratulations to Mr. Gore.
I had not heard the news yet, J.K. -Thanks for posting!
I hadn't heard yet, either.
Thanks, JK!
I'm doin' The Gratitude Dance.
