How many of you remember 'Avon arrowhead necklaces' from the early 1970's?   For reasons I don't recall, the subject of them came up during a conversation with a friend just a few days ago.
He explained that one had been sitting in a box at his home for over thirty years and never worn. When he saw the humor and novelty I associated with the necklace he insisted that I  have it,
and today he brought it into work..

Now I gotta' buy some musk... 8)

As always, your posts are fun and informative!

So… you have a coveted Avon Arrowhead necklace?….when you're out buying musk, don't forget the bell bottom jeans and tye-dye t-shirt….lava lamp….8-track!

Oh how I hate admitting I know anything about anything from the 70's!!!  :-)

I actually did covet the neclace a little bit.. lol

They were cool at the time.  I'd put em right up there with embroidered blue jean jackets.  Don't you remember them?  There was a cowboy and a rope and a shooting star rainbow and..

I better quit.. 8)  lol

Oooooooo, you have me digging up lottsa wonderful memories.

I LOVED the seventies, even without knowing about Avon arrowheads.

I survived two hurricanes (totally wiped out twice), gave birth to my darling, goddess daughter, lived on a tiny island with three tribes of Aborigines, travelled for months at a time in Europe and Asia.

My bell bottoms were from 22 to 24 inches at their widest. Oops, I think I did that in the sixties. One of my hair creations was an 'Fro.

I remember the very first time I ever heard Hair. Was in the Gulf of Carpenteria, on a prawning boat, in 1972.

Still have a bag of 8-tracks that I need to convert.

Laughing….Thanks for the little zip back to the “good old days”, tee hee.

hugs J.K. I ALWAYS get to chuckle with you. ;-)
